A plain double bed frame in unfinished pine, for a spare room, a first flat or anywhere you'd rather spend the money on the mattress. It arrives bare, so you can paint or stain it to match the room.
What you get
- Unfinished pine, so you choose the colour with a tin of paint or wax rather than living with the factory's choice.
- Takes a standard 135 x 190 cm double mattress, so any UK double you already own or buy will fit.
- Wooden slat base, so air moves under the mattress and it doesn't sit damp on a solid board.
- Slats supplied with the frame, so there's no separate bed base to buy on top.
- Solid timber frame rather than a fabric-covered one, so it can be tightened up if it works loose instead of being scrapped.
- 80 cm headboard height, so you can sit up and read against it without stacking pillows against a wall.
- Flat-packed, so it comes up a narrow staircase in boxes rather than needing to be turned on a landing.
